Edna Ferber once said, “Christmas isn’t a season, it’s a feeling”. We couldn’t agree more. At Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, the feeling is mutual.
The hotel is decked for the holidays with Christmas decorations and menus that come around only once a year. Have yourself a merry little Christmas, and a happy new year, as you make plans with your nearest and dearest for these events:
Holiday Afternoon Tea

Tea, coffee, or champagne? Your pick comes with a heart-warming array of savoury and sweet treats such as the Kumamoto Oyster, Angus Beef & Foie Gras Burger, Cempedak Cheesecake Verine, and Matcha Scones.
A 5-course Christmas Eve dinner

Chef de Cuisine Daniel Wong and his talented team have created a 5-course menu specially for Christmas Eve at Horizon Grill. The highlight is the Wagyu A5 Sirloin cooked over a Santa Maria grill, using a traditional spice rub of salt, pepper and garlic powder. Deliciousness delivered dripping in umami richness!
The next morning, hit the snooze button and still enjoy breakfast till 3pm at Horizon Grill — there’s even roast turkey.
New Year’s Eve celebrations & extended breakfast

Horizon Grill will also have a 6-course dinner for New Year’s Eve. This menu’s highlights include the Wagyu A5 Sirloin (because it’s that good) and the Foie Gras & Smoked Eel Terrine. For drinks and celebrations, Altitude is hosting a party against the stunning backdrop of Kuala Lumpur, or head on higher to the rooftop Vertigo and Vertigo TOO for canapés and bespoke cocktails.
Sleep away those cocktail blues? Breakfast is extended for New Years as well.
Takeaway baked goods

Bake by Banyan Tree is dishing out all sorts of yummy gourmet treats handcrafted by Executive Pastry Chef Fodil Baghal and his team of Pâtissiers. These include classic holiday favourites like Gingerbread Man Cookies, Nougat, and Chocolate Dipped Orange Confit. Customised festive gift boxes and hampers are available.
Have a spa day (and night)

The holidays can be stressful, so should you crave some ‘me time’ with a pamper session, Banyan Tree Spa has you sorted with treatments for complete physical, mental and spiritual renewal. Our pick is the Sense of Rejuvanation wellness programme for a relaxing staycation, which includes a one-night stay, yoga session, spa treatment, and healthy post-treatment gourmet specialities.
