This Mother’s Day, treat the queen of your heart to a well-deserved dining experience at none other than Kuala Lumpur’s renowned French restaurant, Enfin by James Won. A specially crafted degustation menu by the restaurant’s talented sous chefs, Chef E.H Poh and Chef Oscar has been designed to entice the senses and tickle the palates of those who choose to honour their mothers during this special occasion.
The bespoke menu was inspired by Estates & Wines portfolio of prestigious wines as each unique dish is designed to complement the wine’s aromatic notes. Savour the smoky and floral flavours from Cloudy Bay’s Te Wahi 2014 pinot noir paired with an entrée of calamares tagliatelle, escargot, molluscs, red pepper and red wine reduction before moving on to the main dish. An interesting option of main is the fluffy yam pillows, bentong ginger duck ragout, Roquefort crème, dark chocolate and wild chilli paired with the dark and rich Cape Mentelle Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 from Australia. For those who prefer something a little more traditional, the Australian beef striploin or Lamb French rack will be the preferred choice and is best washed down with a glass of the complex yet elegant Cheval des Andes 2012 red wine from Argentina.
