Goût de France (Good France), the four-day worldwide culinary event featuring 5,000 chefs from over 5 continents celebrating the best of French cuisine, makes its long-awaited return to Kuala Lumpur this month. Held from 21 to 24 March, this gourmet festival was first established back in 2015 by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs together with the “godfather” of French cuisine, Chef Alain Ducasse.
Inspired by the Diners d’Epicure (Epicurean Dinners) initiative wherein selected restaurants would offer the same menu on the same day in several cities around the world, Good France takes the idea further by connecting restaurants from all categories to participate in a global degustation dinner which will take place on March 21. For this year’s edition, a total of 20 dining establishments from Malaysia will be serving up special menus to celebrate the best of French gastronomy while also shining a spotlight on food sustainability. Here’s a quick look at some of the restaurants that made it into this year’s delicious list which includes a few from Penang.
