Our National Day is just around the corner and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than by feasting with friends and family. From local delights to fine dining with a view, these Merdeka-inspired menus are sure to whet your appetite.
Diners at Vasco’s can begin the day by selecting from a smorgasbord of Chinese, Indian and Malay delights. Adding to all the excitement is the live cooking stations where trained chefs can be observed preparing classic favourites such as kway teow (stir-fried flat noodles) and ikan bakar (grilled fish) to your liking. If you still have room for dessert, have a go at the restaurant’s famous bubur chacha.

For Merdeka day, Paya Serai House will be serving up the “Malaysian Food Festival” high tea which presents a tasty mix of savouries and sweet delights from various states.

To celebrate this significant day, the award-winning Japanese restaurant has devised a 7-course menu that presents a mix of signature creations and creative dishes inspired by familiar ingredients such as palm sugar, tamarind, coconut and monk fruit. Highlights of the Glorious Malaya Omakase menu include fresh Arctic Char Wasabi Palm Sugar, tender Wagyu with Nori Crema, and a refreshing Monk Fruit Mousse.
