Why have just one plate of Pad Thai when you can have seconds, thirds, fourths even? The brand new Sedap Restaurant (which, in case you don’t speak the language, means “delicious” in Bahasa Melayu) in Pullman KLCC is holding a buffet special till the end of September.
“A Taste of Thailand” invites Chef Phubess Viboonsiripakorn of Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort to share his culinary talents with the local team. The buffet will serve authentic Thai cuisine for lunch and dinner, in which seasonal and sustainable ingredients are the core of the menu. You can look forward to those familiar sweet, sour, savoury and spicy flavours cooked with fresh ingredients and garden herbs.
Fondly known as “Chef Pop”, the Thai speciality chef has had 15 years of experience, mainly in fine dining restaurants throughout Thailand. Chef Pop’s forte in the kitchen is using traditional Thai cooking methods in a modern and innovative way. His influence on the menu will see new dishes daily, including some lesser known selections like Pla Pad (Thai grilled fish) and Tub Tim Grob (water chestnut rubies in sweetened coconut milk).
But of course, there are all the usual favourites to indulge in: Tom Yum Goong (hot and sour Thai soup), Som Tam (spicy green papaya salad) and Gaeng Keow Wan Kai (green chicken curry). And for dessert? The popular mango sticky rice.
“A Taste of Thailand” is available daily until 30 September 2018 for lunch from noon to 2.30pm, and for dinner from 6.30pm to 10pm. Fans of Pullman KLCC’s Facebook and Instagram, as well as hotel guests, will receive a 25% discount on the buffet.
