For jet-setting busy bees, the change in climate, disrupted sleep schedules and a rigorous daily routine can take a toll on the skin. And sometimes, even the most luxurious of skincare products just won’t cut it. That’s when you need to call in the big guns. A relaxing (read: no extraction) brightening or skin-repairing facial by the experts will do just the trick. So, here are three new non-invasive facials in Singapore that may be mild to administer but are by no means feeble in results:
1. Beespoke Honey Facial by Porcelain
Porcelain’s latest offering, the Beespoke Honey Facial, was created for Sofitel Singapore City Centre. The six-step facial centres on the benefits of honey and bee propolis to spotlight the hotel’s ambassador: The honey bee. Three products were specially formulated for this facial. There’s the skin-softening Honey Almond Scrub, the antioxidant-rich Milk + Honey Firming Masque and the Bee Propolis Extract which nourishes both oily and problematic skin.
After double-cleansing, the facial begins with the spa’s signature Shiatsu massage using the luxuriously thick honey almond scrub to exfoliate dead skin cells. What follows is the cryotherapy treatment applied with the bee propolis extract. This involves freezing the skin, which causes vasoconstriction and vasodilation, which refers to narrowing, then widening of blood cells. This boosts the oxygenation, circulation and detoxification of cells.
The pampering continues with double masking; the face is first slathered in the Milk + Honey Firming Masque while tired eyes are soothed with a multi-peptide silk mask. While both settle into skin, your therapist will massage your back, shoulder and neck while you continue to lie supine on your comfortable heated bed. As you drift off, the treatment ends with red LED therapy to stimulate skin collagen and a new application of moisturiser and sunscreen.
The 75-minute long treatment works a treat if you’re popping in between flights. There is no extraction involved, so there’s little worry about any rawness or redness. But, as the therapist assured us at the start of the facial, you will notice that your blackheads and pores will appear less visible.

2. Phyto-Aromatique Sisleÿa Facial by Sisley
Tucked into the corner of the first floor at Takashimaya is an ultra-white, ultra-minimalist cabin where Sisley now conducts its famous facials. Formerly available at Paragon, the new posh beauty haven inside Ngee Ann City offers the same pampering as before, albeit in a more intimate space. The French family-run business focuses on phyto-cosmetology or in layman terms, the use of high-quality plant-based extracts to create cosmetics as well as skincare products. The innovative textures meet the fragrance of ingredients, and thus, it was only “natural” that the brand adds expert phyto-aromatique facial treatments to its beauty portfolio.
This September, Sisley will be launching a powerful serum that provides improved firming effect by targeting new physiological modes of action: Wakening elastin production at its origin. You can try the Phyto‑Aromatic Sisleÿa Facial, which utilises the new Sisleÿa L’Intégral Anti-Âge Firming Concentrated Serum for a more toned, resilient and firmer skin.
The 90-minute facial can be tailored to suit the needs of all skin types, from dry to very dry, combination to oily. And as far as non-invasive facials go, this whole experience is elevated with light massages to the face as well as shoulders and arms, created with the respect of local traditions. The power of aromatherapy and relaxing breathing techniques are also employed, to reunify body, mind and soul.
And though it’s often the least favourite part of any treatment, the end of this sublime facial only means you can saunter out into Sisley’s extensive retail area, fully refreshed and ready to shop for your skin’s favoured serums and creams to bring home. Win-win, we say.
3. PDRN Cellular Facial by SW1 Clinic
SW1 Clinic’s latest forefront facial is a high-tech treatment that promises the most luminous and youthful skin. Though it further markets itself as one of the medical spa centre’s non-invasive facials, be warned: It does involve a dermaroller, a beauty tool that contains tiny titanium needles that penetrate the skin.
Micro-needling works, not only boosting collagen production by causing the skin to repair itself at a rapid speed, but also by allowing products like Polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRN) to penetrate into the deeper layers of the epidermis through thousands of tiny channels. But thankfully, part of the PDRN Cellular Facial steps involve application of a numbing cream so actually, you’d hardly feel a thing — the most is a little tingling.
The facial begins with deep cleansing using Chai Skincare’s luxurious Gold Flakes Scrub, which has champagne and pearl extracts, to rid skin of impurities and dead cells. Then comes the numbing cream so that the skin-healing molecules of PDRN can be applied via the dermaroller. In a nutshell, PDRN, which contains DNA extracts of salmon, helps reactivate normal human cell proliferation and growth pattern to promote skin healing, boosting recovery and resilience. What follows next is sonophresis, or sound wave therapy, to further push the vital nutrients into the skin and promote skin lifting. And if all that PDRN wasn’t enough, the facial continues with the slathering of some of SW1 Clinic’s in-house products, including a Vitamin C powder for skin brightening and a 24k gold mask to enhance luminosity.
While most facialists would advise going bare-face for a while, our therapist led us straight to SW1 Clinic’s chic makeup room to get all dolled up. Skin still lit-from-within and shone with health for days, achieving a long-lasting silky complexion in those short 75 minutes.
