Swan Lake takes flight at Ladurée this Christmas with a makeup collection inspired by the enchanting Russian ballet. The swan, a delicate motif loved by the Merveilleuse, gracefully perches itself on a delicate blush that takes the form of petite rose petals, each of them painstakingly handcrafted. The hue is a soft, natural flush of deep and pale pinks with a scent especially formulated to resemble the smell of freshly-picked roses, and morning dew. The perfect start to any day.
Available at the Les Merveilleuses Ladurée Boutique at Takashimaya Shopping Centre
Nothing says cosy Christmas like a warm candle — especially when it comes to Diptyque’s decadent scents. Its holiday collection, designed by artist Olaf Hajeck, weaves in motifs spun from folklore and religious traditions. For a centrepiece that will delight your guests, pick up this year’s Christmas carousel to complement a 190g candle. The gilded carousel rotates with the heat from the candle’s flame, as its five lucky charms, symbolising destiny and luck, dance in the soft light.

The inspiration behind this holiday scent is a woman preparing herself for a night out in Paris and the fragrance is the final finishing touch. Called Tenue De Soirée (it means evening dress), the scent is a modern chypre with a warm and dry accord built from woody-mossy notes. This is balanced with its fruity opening that fades into its soft and gentle core of iris powder that keeps the overall effect vivacious and sparkling, yet soft and plush. Speaking of plush, the perfume bottle is attached to a flamboyant purple puff that looks delightful on any dressing table.
Available at escentials Paragon, [email protected] Tangs Plaza and escentials.com
Fireworks is at the core of Dior’s holiday collection this year. Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, drew inspiration from the spectacular sparkles and vivid colours for the Happy 2020 collection. Pick up the Rouge Dior Collector Couture, which has a beaded minaudière clutch that holds the lipstick; a festive update with a sequinned band as well as five refills of shades ranging from the iconic 999 red to the everyday classic matte rosewood. If you’re looking to steal the limelight with your eyes, the Diorshow Liquid Mono swathes your eyelids in liquid glitter. Gold Twinkle, in particular, reminds one of frothy bubbly, and makes for a pigmented base for its Celebrate in Gold eyeshadow palette.
Available at all Dior counters excluding Sephora
Unabashedly bold, gold, and in-your-face red, the Loubieleopard collection epitomises feline fatale with its leopard print cases that is inspired by the Lurex Panthere: Satin with a gold-flecked lurex. It’s an ode to the Louboutin woman, who is fierce yet feminine, and always extravagant. The cat eyes begins with the Tape à l’Oeil metallic eye colour in nude or brown, then lifts beautifully with the false eyelashes in black and glittery gold. Pair this with the timeless Rouge Louboutin, both on your lips and nails and you’ve got yourself a look that will turn heads.

The Gucci Rouge à Lèvres Lunaison lipsticks are a limited-edition duo perfect for dancing the night away. A single swipe delivers incredible pigment of true bright colour. The 25 * Goldie Red is a timeless red hue personally selected by Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele himself. The 710 Fay Turquoise, on the other hand, is a dazzling shade of glitter-flecked bright blue. Despite its intense sparkle — thanks to iridescent pearls and three types of sparkle — the formula retains a creaminess. Bonus: The tubes make pretty additions to any vanity table as the patterns etched are inspired by the Art Deco period.

Lest you mistake this for a Halloween collection, the name Ghost is derived from its translucent and silver packaging. Its star buy — the Ambient Lighting Edit — features six shades of bronzer and blush, three of them new and the other three evergreen bestsellers. For pigment that pops, the Scattered Eyeshadow comes in two festive hues, and applies like a dream, thanks to its hybrid cream formula that contains multifaceted pearls to capture light, and refined glitter for a serious sparkle.
