The most remarkable characteristic of fragrances is their ability to transport one to another land, another realm, and even another time. Capturing this almost mystical spirit of travel, Louis Vuitton presents its newest perfume — Cœur Battant.
As expected from one of the most acclaimed luxury brands, this latest fragrance has been formulated to inspire a sense of adventure and desire for exploration in the wearer. Created by reputed French perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, it presents an evocative woody, floral essence that reminds one of a warm summer afternoon. Which is not so surprising as Belletrud is believed to have conceptualised the fragrance while in the lush environs of Grasse in France, a short, fragrant distance from wide open fields of sweet-smelling flowers.
Described as possessing a “soft opulence”, Cœur Battant has a distinctive aura of dreamy sensuality that blends seamlessly with a contrasting natural freshness. This can be, possibly, attributed to the very prominent and refreshingly sweet note of a juicy pear that weaves its way through the fragrance. To this is added the seductive essence of the Egyptian jasmine flower, which entices with its raw sultriness.
Presented in an elegant glass bottle featuring the LV logo, Cœur Battant joins an esteemed selection of nine other perfumes in the collection: Rose des Vents, Turbulences, Dans La Peau, Attrapes-Rêves, Apogée, Contre Moi, Matière Noire, Mille Feux and Le Jour Se Lève.
The Louis Vuitton Cœur Battant will be available from 5 September in all Louis Vuitton boutiques.
