Chanel celebrates the iconic No.5’s centenary with a special launch of glimmering, limited editions that capture the spirit of Chanel for the holiday season.
The launch features a new version of the iconic No.5 Eau de Parfum and a gorgeous advent calendar for the upcoming festive month, along with a unique holiday collection comprising gold and black-hued eye shadows and a French-girl red lipstick for that mistletoe pout.
Most unique, however, is the maison’s updated and greener design for the No.5 Eau de Parfum. This more environmentally mindful design has been created in a partnership with a Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant), Pochet du Courval. To promote a circular economy while reducing the use of natural resources to lower the carbon footprint, Chanel and Pochet use innovative technology to transform recycled glass into a high-quality glass bottle while retaining the signature transparency and sharpness of the original N0.5 bottle. The outer package of the N0.5 Eau de Parfum, too, has been redesigned and is now made with biodegradable paper pulp folded into the classic perfume’s shape.

The elegance of the Eau de Parfum is further enhanced with a gold inscription of Mademoiselle Chanel’s lucky number 5 on the bottle’s label. This concept is also further translated into a silver number 5 on the bottle of No.5 L’eau, one of the fragrance’s other five interpretations.
No festive mood is complete without an advent calendar or two (or more), and this one comes in the form of a giant Chanel No.5 bottle, which additionally makes for a great decoration on the vanity. Breaking from conventions, the calendar features 27 boxes numbered from five to 31—the first an allusion to the perfume, and 31 for the maison’s mythical address.
Some of the items include Chanel’s most iconic products, such as the limited edition Rouge Allure lipstick inspired by N°5, a bottle of No.5 Eau de Parfum (mais oui), a red Le Vernis nail polish, a snowglobe and bracelet. The rest is a mystery, as owners can find out about all the other fabulous fragrances and fun included in the calendar themselves.

Inspired by the style codes of the No.5, this year’s holiday collection celebrates the perfume’s famous golden amber colour and Chanel’s iconic shades of black, ecru and red.
