Confession: It takes a village to look and feel our best and that’s why our glam squads are on speed dial. But for times when you simply can’t get any appointments, mobile beauty and wellness services are the next best thing. This is particularly handy with the current coronavirus outbreak, which necessitates precautions to prevent potential transmission.

As any beauty or wellness treatment requires a higher level of physical contact between you and your therapist, spas and salons have put in additional precautionary measures. Ahead, we list five of the best mobile beauty services that will pamper you from the comfort — and safety — of your own home. The onus is on you to look after your personal hygiene.

1
Aleyda Mobile Spa

You’re in good hands with Aleyda Mobile Spa. Its mission “to make you feel whole again” is meted out by therapists who don’t just bring a wealth of experience, but an arsenal of equipment to make your session as mind-melting as possible. Think fresh linens, and even the right, soothing music. Massages include a signature aromatherapy oil rubdown which combine gentle, Swedish strokes and strong deep tissue techniques. Want an added touch of luxury to your treatment? Add the magnesium oil therapy that works to relief persistent aches and pains, boost joint mobility and foster better sleep.

Precautionary measures: The spa’s all-local team have not travelled to China in the past six months. The staff also conduct daily temperature checks.

2
The Outcall Spa

A pioneer of mobile spas in Singapore, The Outcall Spa was created with the idea that the best place for a spa massage is none other than one’s home as it offers all the warmth, safety and comfort. It first began as primarily offering massages, including tui na, Swedish, and deep tissue, but has now expanded to include luxury lash extensions which range from natural lash-by-lash extensions, to volume ones which offer the illusion of eyeliner application. Got a crazy schedule that’s packed from end-to-end? The Outcall Spa’s latest slot is up until 1am.

Precautionary measures: The Outcall Spa ensures a thorough sanitisation of its massage beds, and increased frequency of hand washing and replacement of face masks.

Auum’s treatments include restorative packages that incorporate all-natural ingredients, gentle exfoliation, and essential oils. Further reasons to support the salon: The word ‘Honest’ in its name refers to its use non-toxic, eco-friendly, fair-trade and cruelty-free nail lacquers, and are run by a staff which includes local marginalised women who have been provided vocational training.

Precautionary measures: All clients are to fill up travel and declaration forms. Tools are disinfected after every use while all others are disinfected regularly. Clients’ hand and feet will be cleaned using sanitising body wipes.

5
The Big Blow

This Cluny Court mainstay has long been a favourite among glamazons for its blowouts that promise extra body, sleek locks, and curls gone wild. But if you’re not looking to get your hair beautifully styled, its house calls offers a gamut of pampering, and restorative treatments, including hair masks and head massages, pH balance correcting hair treatments, and keratin smoothing approaches to maintain hair that’s been inundated with frizz from the Singapore humidity.

Precautionary measures: Brushes and combs are sterilised between clients even before the virus stared. But to increase the standard of hygiene, the salon carries gel sanitiser and extra wipes upon arrival. Only staff who are completely well are deployed. Likewise, the salon asks that clients who are unwell to forgo their appointment.
