Is there anything better than a spa day?
As a matter of fact, there is: The Fullerton Hotel Singapore has one-upped their spa game with an indulgent spa-and-afternoon-tea experience that will do wonders for your overall well being. Yes, this means starting your self-care day with a divine, five-star massage before spending the rest of the afternoon sipping tea or bubbles and popping decadent tidbits.
The Fullerton Spa, which reopened in January with a new menu of wonderful-sounding treatments by luxury label ESPA, offers everything you need to renew, reset and relax. A must-do is the 90-minute Asian Heritage Signature (90 minutes, S$260++), a head-to-toe treatment that promises to ease all troubles and tension from the mind and body. After a quick consultation of your massage goals (how you want to feel), pressure and scent preference, the pampering begins with a pleasurable scalp, forehead and ear massage, followed by a deep muscle massage that combines long strokes, acupressure and some light stretching. If you want the full works, add on The Fullerton Signature Facial, which includes an advanced triple-cleanse and a soothing bespoke massage using nutrient-rich formulas to refine and revitalise skin.
Once you emerge from the elegant, insulated confines of the spa feeling like a whole-new being, make your way to The Courtyard on the ground floor for part two of the ritual: the afternoon tea. Refreshed monthly, the menu for April features decadent east-meets-west tidbits served on a pretty three-tiered cake stand. Delicious warm scones and classic cucumber sandwiches aside, there’s a szechuan smoked salmon tartare with caviar on a tiny pancake, a little crisp cone stuffed with shio kombu seafood and lobster salad and topped with sakura ebi, a truffle-soy chicken sesame tart, maple-pepper glazed tea smoked duck on a mini coriander bagel and a puff with white truffle egg mayo. Servers come around with more savouries when your plate looks a little bare, so eat as much as you please. Sweets are equally fancy — think dark fudge chocolate cake, calamansi coconut tart, citrus financier, chocolate salted caramel tart, Sicily pistachio mango mascarpone swiss roll and raspberry macaron — and small enough to have them all in one seating.
Of course, there’s a nerdy selection of fine hot tea from TWG and a handful of coffee for sipping. The chocolate and rainbow candy shakes are a lovely touch, too. Day drinkers have the option of free-flowing prosecco, rose, white, red and moscato for two hours, or a special cocktail, champagne, Tiger Crystal and sparkling wine by the glass.
As if that isn’t already catnip to our brains, the hotel is extending an exclusive promotion for Prestige Singapore readers. Enjoy 20% off a la carte weekday spa treatments for one guest (60 minutes and above), 1-for-1 a la carte weekday spa treatments for two guests (60 minutes and above), and a 25% off Weekday Afternoon Tea voucher for one guest, which includes a complimentary Earl Grey Honey Citrus Cooler. Quote ‘My Afternoon at The Fullerton’ when making a spa appointment and you’ll receive the Afternoon Tea voucher after your session, which is redeemable at The Courtyard. We’ve already made our bookings.
