HoteLux, launched earlier this year, is a Singapore-based one-stop luxury hotel reservation mobile app that aims to give you even more benefits than you’d receive through booking directly with the hotel or claiming via your credit card programme.

Members of HoteLux, which charges an annual membership fee of $149, are treated to a host of attractive perks that include the following, subject to each hotel or hotel group’s conditions: daily breakfast; up to US$100 hotel dining or spa credits per stay; complimentary room upgrade and/or early check-in and late check-out (subject to availability); option to pay upon check-in; flexible cancellation policy; and welcome amenities.

Sweetening your stay is the double dip on points: You can earn both hotel loyalty programme points and HoteLux points at the same time – so that your staycations can contribute towards offsetting the cost of your overseas accommodation in the future. HoteLux points are redeemable for room vouchers, and can be used for over 4,000 luxury properties worldwide.

On top of the above hotel partner-related benefits, HoteLux itself offers members exclusive rewards and services. Standard membership guests receive 1,000 HoteLux welcome points (equivalent to SGD100), while elite members get double the love with 2,000 welcome points. Elite Plus members get treated to 2,000 welcome points, as well as two limousine transfers per year within Singapore. Customer service is also available on live chat.

Just two months ago, HoteLux gave a discount to healthcare workers in Singapore, and at the time of publication it has also partnered with flash sale platform OnTheList to offer members exclusive invitations and priority access to online events. Currently the staycation promotions are superb. There are third-night-free deals at Mandarin Oriental Singapore, Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach, Raffles Singapore, Shangri-La Hotel Singapore, St Regis Singapore and The Westin Singapore. Others range from complimentary set menu dinner at Capella Singapore, to $80 F&B credit at Conrad Centennial Singapore (hello, Golden Peony restaurant!).

HoteLux’s vast range of exclusive benefits are available on its booking systems via the app, website and its various social media platforms. They are also automatically linked to the respective hotel partner’s system spanning Shangri-La, Four Seasons, Marriott, Mandarin Oriental, Hyatt, Hilton and more. Navigating through the HoteLux app interface is an intuitive and personalised digital experience, with bookings easily completed with just a few swipes.

Yihao Shi, managing director of HoteLux, says that further upgrades to the app’s features are in the pipeline.  “These features will allow HoteLux to be a one-stop concierge platform for our users’ travel needs – they will be able to make bookings for limousine services, popular restaurants and even use the app to tailor-make an exclusive travel plan.”
