The World’s Most Expensive Dinner

In celebration of 15 collaborative years, Russian diamond behemoth World of Diamonds Group and lifestyle conglomerate Cé La Vi are offering the world’s most expensive and exclusive culinary experience for two in Singapore — for the price of US$2 million.

The eight-hour retreat into a Dionysian bliss begins with a phenomenal journey by air (a private scenic helicopter ride), land (a chauffeured Rolls-Royce jaunt) and sea (a luxury private cruise). Later, atop the coveted 57th floor of Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, the candlelit gastronomic feast of a 19-course Modern Asian degustation menu caters to the most discerning of palates.

Cosseted in a private sanctuary redolent of fresh roses — 10,000 to be exact — the culinary voyage includes fresh Belon oyster with champagne foam, jamón ibérico, Almas caviar, lamb sweetbread, Glenvale pork loin, veal liver, air-flown Alaska wild salmon amongst others, paired alongside vintages such as the 1996 Domaine Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, 1961 Chateau Haut-Brion and 1972 Oremus Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos to name a few. The descent into unbridled hedonism is continued with the complimentary provision of diamond-studded name-engraved chopsticks and custom-made designer furniture, both of which will belong to the lucky couple. 

The proverbial icing on the cake for this whole sybaritic affair is the presentation of The Jane Seymour, a delightful bijoux created to celebrate the accomplishments of the eponymous A-lister Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE). Set in 18k rose gold-plated platinum, the unique 2.08-ct fancy vivid blue diamond ring is the world’s only celebrity jewellery piece that isn’t pre-owned. And to mark the exhilarating moment when the ring finally emerges at midnight, Louis XIII de Rémy Martin cognac would be served, complete with an extravagant fireworks display.

But there remains one last barrier: The enchanting experience will only be sold to a qualified individual — at the discretion of both World of Diamonds Group and Cé La Vi.
