French heritage brand, Fauré Le Page, started as a firearms manufacturer in 1717 before expanding its repertoire to make hunting leather goods. In June this year, Fauré Le Page opened its ninth store in Singapore, which is also the first one within South-east Asia. Every Fauré Le Page store front looks different as its artistic director Augustin de Buffevent wanted each exterior to reflect the city it is located in. Which is why the Singapore boutique resembles a tropical garden gazebo, with an accent of the brand’s signature yellow throughout.
On November 6, Fauré Le Page hosted a cocktail party for a group of Prestige VIPS keen on the savoir faire of the brand. While sipping champagne and partaking in hors d’oeuvres, guests were given a tour around the store. Divisional Manager Geraldine Laborie and her team from F J Benjamin — Fauré Le Page’s brand partner in Singapore — were also present to share with the guests more about collection. Some of the bestsellers include The Daily Battle, a shopping tote that features adjustable straps with 17 holes; the Calibre 21, a satchel-style handbag featuring a pistol-shaped front pocket; the boxy evening Boum Box clutch; the Envelope Triomphe, a clutch swathed with military-style “medals” as well as its pistol-shaped coin purses and wristlets. Guests were also particularly drawn to the alligator clutches, monogrammed belt buckles and the orchid “medal”, exclusive only to Singapore.
