Hong Kong-born Chan started his acting career during the 1960s and has appeared in over 150 films since. His international breakthrough came in 1998 when he starred alongside Chris Tucker in the action comedy Rush Hour, which grossed over US$140 million in the US. Last year, at 62, he received an honorary Oscar for his prolific career and cinematic achievements at the Governors Awards by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
