The dessert art maven and economics graduate has come a long way over the past 13 years after opening 2am: dessertbar at the tender age of 24. Having learnt from some of the world’s best chefs, including Thomas Keller, Oriol Balaguer and Pierre Hermé, Janice has outdone herself with accolades that include Asia’s Best Pastry Chef by San Pellegrino Asia’s 50 Best in 2013 and 2014, and World Gourmet Summit Awards’ Pastry Chef of the Year in 2011, 2013 and 2015.

She launched Janice Wong Singapore in 2014 in a partnership with founder of TWG Tea, Manoj M Murjani. This was followed by a concession stand at London’s Harrods department store in 2018, and several global collaborations, such as Janice Wong in Paradise City Seoul and Busan, and a debut solo exhibition in Huis Ten Bosch in Nagasaki. Most recently, she represented Singapore as a judge in the season finale of Top Chef: All-Stars L.A., alongside culinary superstars Dario Cecchini, Mauro Colagreco, Clare Smyth and more. Janice was also the first Singaporean to be featured in the culinary segment of Bottega Residency by Bottega Veneta to lift the community’s spirit during the global pandemic, during which time she started a baking supply online store Bake At Home, as well as 2am: Dessertbar At Home, a takeaway and delivery service.
