A patio or backyard can have just as much personality as a home’s interior, and creating an inviting open-air space is a great incentive to spend more time outside.
One of the most important elements of a relaxing outdoor sanctuary is a seating system that serves the space. Flexform has launched a series of new outdoor products that are timeless, functional and comfortable. Both sturdy and comfortable, the new Flexform Ontario sofa is built with thick iroko wood slats, which not only complements outdoor spaces but also adds a touch of boldness to the piece. In contrast to the solid wood, the plush, padded seat and backrest cushions provide comfort and cosiness.
Another notable piece from the collection is the Atlante sofa. Ideal for a porch, patio or garden, the sofa is named after the mythical Titan god, Atlas who was a symbol of endurance. The seating system is made to weather the outdoors, with a stainless steel base upholstered in water-repellent elastic webbing. Its cushions are also covered in water-repellent fabric and upholstered in a removable fabric of choice, with options from fire proof to grosgrain and outdoor fabrics. Thanks to its standalone and sectional sofas, the Atlante can be arranged in a number of ways, depending on the space and needs. The seat elements can also be paired with handy table tops and integrated end tables with shelves that can be made of iroko wood, or a various natural or sintered stone. To keep the Atlante in extra good condition, opt to add on water-repellent covers.
On days where you want to lounge poolside, kick back on the Hora Sexta daybed. Also made in iroko wood with a reclinable woven polypropylene fiber backrest, it comes in a wide range of colours and works well as is. But to make it even more comfortable, top it with a soft, upholstered mattress finished with grosgrain piping. The daybed is available in a version with aluminum posterior wheels that allow for better portability.
