Not to be stepped on, the new Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron has been launched with much fanfare. Lego Group and Bugatti Automobiles joined forces in an unlikely brand collaboration, bringing together the savoir faire of the French luxury car brand’s design heritage and the advanced, minuscule details of Lego Technic elements.
Here are four fun facts about the teeny-tiny model:
1. It’s Not That Tiny
We’re talking 3,599 pieces that’ll construct a tech-filled toy measuring 14cm-tall, 56cm-long and 25cm-wide, making it a 1:8th scale replica of the real-life Bugatti Chiron supercar.
2. Why So Blue
It’s Bugatti’s signature colour. Staying true to the brand’s heritage, the model features the classic duo-tone blue colour scheme and a set of identifiable stickers for additional detailing and authenticity of the build. Its aerodynamic bodywork is decked out with an active rear wing, that is switchable from handling to top speed position.

3. Details For Days
Other intricate Bugatti Chiron details are found in the model’s geeky engineering touches too, including detailed W16 engine with moving pistons, an eight-speed gearbox with paddle gearshift, and a functional steering wheel bearing the iconic Bugatti emblem. We foresee at least two to three days of your time to put this whole monster model together.
4. Build Reading Skills
Forget boring black-and-white user manuals, Lego shows its publishing side as the set comes with a ‘coffee table’-style collectors booklet with comprehensive building instructions. Fans can now dive deep into the inspiration behind the design too.
And if all this talk about mini hypercars has got you all hyped up, head to the Fullerton Concours D’Elegance 2018 on July 1, 2018 for a chance to sit inside the real-life, multi-mllion-dollar Bugatti Chiron supercar. Visitors will also have the chance to finally see for themselves the Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron next to The Bugatti Chiron in a juxtaposed display at The Fullerton Hotel lobby, from 12-2pm on that day.
