BBC Top Gear calls it the “boldest of bold moves from Jaguar: An all-electric SUV, the first credible rival to Tesla’s premium EV dominance, a car that beats its German rivals to market and a radical piece of design.”
And what a pedigree it is. More than just a gorgeous, head-turning mean machine, the I-Pace is a pure battery electric vehicle (BEV) flaunting an all-electric powertrain that displays stellar performances, such as going from 0 – 100km/h in just 4.8 seconds. That’s not all. According to Jaguar, the low centre of gravity plus near-perfect weight distribution makes negotiating traffic a breeze.
Like all electric cars, the I-Pace is — not surprisingly — a quiet vehicle, all thanks to its sophisticated motor encapsulation and sleek aerodynamic profile, which minimises wind noise. Other noteworthy features include the InControl technology that connects you and the outside world via its Smart Settings, using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to memorise the driver’s settings and anticipate the driver’s needs.
There’s more. The central infotainment console in this car is built into a 10-inch touchscreen and a lower 5-inch touchscreen in the dashboard. All I-Pace comes with a standard 4G WiFi hotspot connectivity and provides a range of 470km in a single charge.

Like all its other offerings, the 5-seater I-Pace seamlessly marries form and function, a flair that’s not lost on all Jaguar fans. Think sexy curves, luxurious interiors and superb craftsmanship.
Ian Callum, director of design for Jaguar says: “We’ve created the I-Pace to represent the next generation of battery electric vehicle design. It’s radical, dramatic, and future-facing — the product of authentic Jaguar DNA matched with beautiful, premium details and quality British craftsmanship.”
And oh, did we also mention that the Jaguar I-Pace is named European Car of the Year 2019?
