Last season, Hermès’ Artistic Director Véronique Nichanian partnered with French playwright and director Cyril Teste for a live performance to showcase its men’s ready-to-wear collection.
It was an intimate behind-the-scenes look at the making of a fashion presentation, albeit staged choreographed. In the film, the usual frenetic atmosphere prior to a runway show was hushed by the calming music and unhurried camera movements, which expressed, as what Nichanian wanted for her clothes, a sense of “lightness, simplicity and nonchalance”.
For Autumn/Winter 2021, Hermès is bringing back Teste again as an artistic partner, and the show will be unveiled at Paris Men’s Fashion Week on Saturday, 23 January, at 9.00pm (Singapore time). Watch it through the livestream below.
