A collection that will put a smile on your face.
Jonathan Anderson injects extra dose of happiness into Loewe Paula’s Ibiza 2020, just launched in April, with an international icon of optimism and freedom, and the predecessor of the emojis we love, the Smiley.
“The Smiley to me is an antidote to the bad news, which makes it particularly timely in the context we are living,” explains the creative director. “It’s about trying to make the world a more positive place through creative subversion.”
The Loewe Paula’s Ibiza 2020 featuring Smiley capsule gets the best out of the pop culture symbol in bright, sunny expressions that tie in with Paula’s Ibiza rave-y summer collection. And it looks like Anderson had fun reimagining the famous yellow face with oval eyes and upturned mouth in a host of creative ways.
As with the Loewe Paula’s Ibiza 2020, this capsule lets you do your bit for children in socially vulnerable groups affected by COVID-19. The Spanish luxury fashion house will be donating 40 euros to educational projects for every product sold in this special collection in Loewe stores and on Loewe.com between May and August 2020, starting with an initial donation of 500,00 euros. In the bid to reduce inequality and dropouts, it is collaborating with Plataforma de Infancia, a Spanish alliance of social organisations that protects children and adolescents’ rights, to launch a series of educational programmes this summer in Spain.
