With most of the world under lockdown, the past few months have seen a surge in virtual events and tours ranging from music festivals to art exhibitions and explorations of far-flung destinations.
Closer to home, Piaget has taken this a step further with the launch of its first virtual boutique, which has been elaborately modelled to resemble an actual store. The virtual salon is decked out in hues of white, yellow, textured gold and the Swiss maison’s signature Piaget blue, and comes complete with a shopfront and display cases housing watches and jewellery.

Navigating the boutique is a breeze, as guests simply need to click on arrows or around the space for a 360-degree panoramic view. They can also focus on specific designs and collections, which include Possession, Piaget Rose, Altiplano and Piaget Polo.
These are accompanied by detailed descriptions, along with technical details, prices, and recommendations. Shoppers can also do product comparisons, and add their desired items to a wishlist.
Exploring the place doesn’t have to be a lonesome affair. Guests can even “shop” with friends and family in real time, as the virtual boutique boasts a sharing function that allows them to invite others to join them on their online shopping trip via social media, email or Whatsapp links.

Other interactive elements include an automated chat box that suggests products based on guests’ interests, and communication channels managed by brand personnel at Piaget’s Ngee Ann City and Marina Bay Sands stores. For those who prefer human interaction, there’s also an option to book a private virtual appointment with a brand representative.
The Piaget virtual boutique can be accessed here. Talk about the perfect way to avoid the Phase 2 crowds while getting your much-needed fix of retail therapy.
