There’s a new hotel in town — and we mean that literally.
Andaz will be opening its first Southeast Asian hotel in Singapore this month. Located between Kampong Glam and Little India cultural districts, and the Bras Basah Bugis arts entertainment hub, Andaz Singapore, housed within integrated development DUO Singapore, will offer 342 contemporary guestrooms, including 26 suites when it opens on October 26.
This new luxury hotel player in our little red dot will be Andaz’s 17th property worldwide. The company currently has footprint in a number of key world cities, including Delhi in India, Ottawa in Canada, Scottsdale in Arizona, USA, and Playa del Carmen in Mexico. Each of these are often located in a dynamic neighbourhood in efforts to create a more cultural experience for its guests.
And similarly, Andaz Singapore will offer the same. Especially through its design. Roping in renowned architect Andre Fu and his design studio AFSO, the hotel aims to be seen as a contemporary lifestyle destination that embraces the energy of Singapore’s urban spirit. As such, be prepared to see design details, furniture, art and fabric that will mimic the location’s eclectic passageways and shophouse experiences throughout the space.
“By complementing the spirit of our surrounding neighbourhoods and offering new perspectives on them, our aim is to inspire a sense of discovery through our hotel ‘alleyways’,” says Olivier Lenior, general manager of the hotel. “Through design, service and creative programmes, we will strive to be a good neighbour to the community, as well as a magnetic hub attracting both local and international guests.”
