As we eagerly await the day that we can travel again, we’re setting our sights on this newly-opened property in Niseko, Japan.
YTL has recently announced the launch of its fifth property in Niseko Village, Hokkaido in Japan. Named the Higashiyama Niseko Village, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, the resort will officially open on December 15, 2020 — just in time for the winter ski season in Hokkaido. We just hope we can make it in time for the later snow season in February.
Located on the base of Mount Niseko Annupuri in Niseko Village, the Higashiyama Niseko Village resort has 50 rooms, most of which boast panoramic views of Mount Yotei and its surrounding mountain ranges. Of course, the activity of choice here are snow activities. Expect 2,191 acres of skiable terrain as well as access to extensive backcountry skiing.
During your time up in the mountains, you might not feel like leaving your resort to explore further. You needn’t worry about dining options as well because the resort will have two restaurants within its property that promise excellent food. Alongside that is a lounge, a spa and onsen, as well as a fitness centre in case you feel like you didn’t rack up the steps while on the slopes.
