Perched on the 43rd storey of the Ocean Financial Centre, Zafferano kick-starts the merriment early New Year’s Eve, accompanying the last sunset of the year with its three-course dinner of contemporary Italian cuisine, highlighting chef Marco Guccio’s Sardinian octopus carpacciowith pomegranate and house-made tagliolini with Canadian lobster and marinated tomatoes. The festivities continue with its New Year’s Eve Gala five-course dinner, featuring luscious sea urchin with Oscetra caviar and Jerusalem artichokes, Japanese sea bass filet with eggplant purée, and a decadent vanilla and rum mousse with chestnut paste, chocolate sponge and marron glacé. The feasting is followed by the countdown party at the Terrace Lounge where guests party away their last few hours of 2016 to pop hits from the 1990s spun by DJ MalcomX, before toasting to 2017 with a glass of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2004 amidst the phenomenal fireworks at Marina Bay.
