1. Nami Restaurant and Bar, Shangri-La Hotel Singapore
Type of cuisine: Japanese
Bring Mummy to Nami, especially if she’s a fan of Japanese food. Located on level 24 of Shangri-La Hotel Singapore’s Tower Wing, Nami is headed by chef Shigeo Akiba who will be creating a Mother’s Day eight-course menu, available from May 11-13, 2018. Dishes are inspired by his favourite foods during childhood, including a rendition of his mother’s macaroni gratin. Clearly an upgrade, the newfangled “cheese macaroni gratin dashi” is adorned with gold flakes and will be offered to all diners, in tasting portions, before their dinners.
2. Spago by Wolfgang Puck, Marina Bay Sands

There’s no coincidence that Mother’s Day coincides with springtime. Both celebrate the most beautiful certainty in life, making for exciting kitchen creations. At Spago by Wolfgang Puck, they’ve filled two needs with one deed, introducing a slew of sensational seasonal dishes available till mid-August, and just in time for Mother’s Day celebration. We bet Mom will enjoy the white asparagus salad, a dish indicative of harvesttime. There’s also Hokkaido scallop with creamy fava beans and if that isn’t rich enough, order Spago’s well-liked “mangrove truffles”, a velvety mousse of foie gras infused with popular Peranakan staple, buah keluak, finally available as an à la carte item.
