With Father’s Day (16 June) just around the corner, it’s time to up the ante on indulging your father. Few things may put a smile on good ol’ dad’s face the way a good steak does, but with the list of restaurants we’ve put together, he’s sure to remember the feast for a long time (until you one-up it with next year’s celebration, of course).
Your dad is in a for lavish treat at Yan. From now until 16 June, the restaurant offers a six- and nine-course menu for Father’s Day. Each menu comes with a bottle of Herdade da Pimenta Single Estate 2015, a spicy red wine that boasts the scent of wood fruits and white flowers with chocolate and coconut notes.
Highlights from the nine-course set menu A include the signature roast crispy suckling pig and double-boiled Chicken Soup with Ginseng. The six-course set menu B, on the other hand, features the Yan BBQ platter with roasted duck, crunchy jellyfish head, roasted pork belly, and barbecue honey pork, as well as six-head whole abalone with vegetables “mee pok” in supreme oyster sauce.
Both menus are available until 16 June during lunch and dinner (12pm to 2.30pm and 6pm to 10.30pm). Set menu A is meant for six to 10 diners, while Set Menu B for four to six diners.

This Father’s Day, Zafferano combines top-notch views with comfort food any dad will love. The rooftop restaurant has a set menu for two on this special occasion, consisting stone-baked burratina pizza, crispy truffle fries, and a bucket of five bottled beers or a bottle of house wine. Complement this with its menu of Italian classics, which includes house-made pastas served with Canadian lobsters and braised veal tongue, sous-vide and pan-fried Queensland farm lamb loin, and slow-cooked beef short ribs.
Zafferano’s Father’s Day offer is available for 2 guests with limited seats on 14 and 15 June 2019, Friday and Saturday, from 5.30pm and 6.30pm respectively. Reservations are required. Guests must quote ‘Father’s Day’ to enjoy the special package.

Four words: Charcoal fire-grilled meats. Hotel Fort Canning’s The Gourmet Grill returns this Father’s Day for a lunch feast to remember. In conjunction with Father’s Day, the restaurant has launched its new 1kg grill-smoked bone-in Australian Rosedale Ruby sirloin for two. A boozy breakfast, especially on a special occasion, is always worth getting up early for. This Father’s Day, Andaz Singapore’s Alley on 25 is serving up the Godfather cocktail, as a complementary concoction to its extensive breakfast buffet.
The libation, made from Great King Blended whisky and Amaretto and served with a slice of orange, accompanies the Lazy Breakfast.
The spread includes a continental station with bread from Tiong Bahru bakery, gluten-free cereals, superfoods from the salad bar, and an item from the a la carte breakfast menu. An emperor’s experience awaits at Mitzo: Grand Park Orchard’s beacon of modern Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant offers two options for Father’s Day, with the first being a weekend brunch buffet only available on 15 and 16 June. Feast to your heart’s content with over 50 types of dim sum dishes, along with roasts, soups and highlights such as steamed bamboo clam with minced pork sauce, lobster with minced pork and soya milk congee and stir-fried abalone with asparagus in X.O sauce.
The second alternative is a five-course menu that includes a comforting broth of miso bak kut teh, radish stuffed with dried scallop and king oyster mushroom with sea cucumber, as well as homemade preserved fish fried rice. The meal ends with the Dynasty Six-Treasure tea served with walnut and lotus paste cookie. Finally, toast to dad with the smoky The Patriach, which combines Aalipus Mezcal, cynar, heering cherry brandy, chocolate bitters and sugar syrup.

Food for the soul is what Yardbird is all about. The classic American restaurant deftly doles out Southern treats, and Father’s Day is no exception. Sometimes nothing hits the spot like a big buffet spread. Come Father’s Day, Rise restaurant at Marina Bay Sands is expanding its menu to include live stations serving Chinese dishes such as Teochew-style steamed fish and braised sea cucumber, as well as sumptuous Sanchoku wagyu.

This Father’s Day, Chef Ben has prepared a feast fit for a king, by way of a six-course meal, which includes highlights like New Zealand rack of lamb in fresh mushroom sauce, baked silver sea perch fillet with almond flakes in champagne sauce as well as wok-fried lobster with crispy fermented minced garlic and dried chilli with fish noodles. Just for fathers, the meal comes with a glass of white wine.
