Tiffany & Co is all set to unveil the first-ever European outpost of its Blue Box Cafe in London’s Harrods on Valentine’s Day, 14 February. Decked out in the brand’s signature robin’s egg blue, the cafe will serve up highlights such as raspberry jam-filled croissants for breakfast, “Charles Lewis” truffle roasted chicken for dinner, and Faroe Islands smoked salmon sandwiches with cream cheese for a snack.
Classics from the New York flagship such as “Central Park” salad, “Big Apple” apple pie and “New York” cheesecake will be on the menu, alongside British staples such as scones with clotted cream and a wide selection of teas.
If the new London address in Knightsbridge turns out to be as successful as the American Blue Box, which opened at Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue flagship store in November 2017 and is currently being renovated, it will be advisable to book well in advance to get a table. The cafe allows for reservations to be made on a weekly basis every Friday morning — during which diners may book for the upcoming Friday to Thursday — and walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis.
