When it comes to Singaporeans’ favourite activities, the National Day fireworks display definitely tops the list. Nothing quite fills our hearts with pride like watching the city light up in a spectacular explosion of colours over the skyline, especially as we’re also celebrating Singapore’s bicentennial. Naturally, an occasion so magnificent calls for killer seats. Lucky for you, we’ve handpicked our favourite spots with unparalleled views of the pyrotechnics display.
Cé La Vi
The festivities will be in full swing at Cé La Vi for Singapore’s biggest night, with the F&B outlet putting out two versions of the quintessential Singaporean cocktail: The Singapore Sling. Over at Skybar, it’s made with juniper-heavy Tanqueray London Gin, Bénédictine, Triple Sec, cherry and grenadine syrup, fresh lime juice, pineapple juice and soda water, while the Club Lounge’s rendition incorporates the botanical and spiced Bombay Sapphire gin. Thinking of staying on even after the fireworks? Besides the panoramic views, you also get to enjoy upbeat fro-Latin and soulful house tune as well as special cocktails concocted by its resident mixologists. If you’ve got your family in tow, there are plenty of games and activities, face-painting included, to keep the kids occupied.

There’s no better way to celebrate Singapore’s birthday than over drinks with views of the Marina Bay. MO Bar delivers exactly this, but with an edge: Tipples here are distinctly different thanks to the use of newer, progressive techniques and the freshest ingredients. Take the Roaring City cocktail, for example. It’s served on a colourful Peranakan tile and is made with sparkling pineapple tepache, and topped with vermouth jelly and a curry leaf garnish.
