It’s undeniable that Central’s anniversary party has become one of Bangkok’s most anticipated year-end events. The bash has year after year wowed not just the mall’s regular shoppers, but also dedicated fans and Instagrammers thanks to its floral extravaganza and Instagrammable spots for the social media generation to live their life to the fullest.
For this year, the colour yellow — the shade synonymous with the birth date of the reigning monarch HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn — runs as key theme. The main landmark is the spectacular “Stairway to Heaven” — a pathway decorated with yellow flowers including daffodils and out-of-season yellow tulips and a chandelier made of 100,000 metres of dazzling yellow silk threads. The Cherry Blossom Forest, meanwhile, is a Sakura tunnel interactive space while “The Pink Chamber” is decorated with pink flowers in creative designs based on the Japanese “Ikebana” floral arrangement aesthetics. In addition, there will be “Pink Market” and “Open Market” which are open to shoppers from November 7 to 12, 2019 from 10 am to 10 pm
Like usual, each floor at Central Chidlom is dedicated to different floral theme, making the food loft and its usual floral-theme dining experience something food-lovers and regular diners keep looking forward to. This year, the special event “A Floral Taste Celebration” offers a vast selection of beautiful flower dishes and activities such as “The Floral Chef’s Table” with chef “Am” Naree Boonyakiat, one of the ten contestants from the well-known television programme. Other famous restaurants joining the event include Ma Maison Home Cooking Recipes, authentic Thai cuisine at Thai Boran, Baan Park Nai Lert, Put Chan (A. Pom), Kesorn Tip and Chua Hui Chieng by Rod Tiem.
