October 3 saw crowds of Bangkok’s A-list personalities and society faces gathered on the Thonburi side of the Chao Phraya River, to celebrate a very exciting occasion — the grand unveiling of Ferragamo’s new concept store at Iconsiam. Spanning 193 square metres of bold contemporary design, the Italian fashion house’s new space is all about achieving a luxurious sense of charm and style. From what took place at the grand opening, to who was there, here’s our Prestige Recap of the affair.
Ferragamo Iconsiam: What’s the Hype?
With a striking façade of corrugated metal panels embellished by vertical bronze strips, Ferragamo’s new Iconsiam concept store sets a pretty majestic first impression — make no mistake though, this is only a small hint of what lies within. Once inside, visitors are greeted by compelling travertine portals, beautifully textured wallpapers, and specially crafted velour couches. Each room within the space has been carefully curated with distinct colour schemes and palettes, tailored to complement the products on show. Product-wise, expect a comprehensive range of signatures form the house, going from our beloved leather bags, shoes, and small leather items, to the likes of silk accessories, eyewear, and even perfumes and watches.
The Event: What Took Place?
Taking place at the newly unveiled boutique in Iconsiam’s Iconluxe zone, the grand opening event came with a presentation of Ferragamo’s latest Autumn/Winter 2019 collection, as well as a presentation of the newly launched iconic bag ‘BOXYZ’ — specially designed by the brand’s creative director Paul Andrew.
Who Was There?
As only to be expected of an event from a world-class fashion house, the grand opening and fashion show was attended by society’s most prominent personas and honourable elites, including names such as Sikanya Saktidej Bhanubandh, Ausanee Mahagitsiri, and Linn-Mashannoad Suvalmas.
