Music lovers and food connoisseurs weathered the Friday evening’s traffic to “The Taste of Music” for a night to remember. A charity dinner and concert gala organised by Camillo Pellegatta, Alice Law, Head of Communications of Bromsgrove International School Thailand, and the Italian Embassy in Bangkok, the event raises funds to support he Home for the Aged Ratchasima.
Held at the Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, the event kicked off with a cocktail reception during which guests could enjoy an exhibition of Codex on the Flight of Birds by Leonardo da Vinci, whose life and thoughts inspire the theme of the event, from a set list comprising of Puccini, Verdi, Mascagni to the food using old recipes from the Renaissance era. After the 3-course dinner, guests were entertained with opera concert by world-class performers from celebrated pianist Alberto Firrincieli, and talented tenor Fabio Armiliato, who has been referred to critically as “the best Chénier of our time” as well as Chiara Giudice. They were joined on stage by a 40-member choir from Bromsgrove International School Thailand.
