Only limited to 750 units worldwide, the special-edition Leica Q2 Daniel Craig x Greg Williams is distinguished in appearance of black and gold – thanks to Leica, the wish list is now as fulfilled as ever before.
On March 11 at the new Leica Boutique Emporium, a number of celebrities and Leica lovers huddled together to eyewitness Thailand’s first debut of the novel, black-and-gold chromatic Leica Q2. The stylish camera of elegance is the upshot of the close collaboration between the award-winning actor, Daniel Craig of James Bond, and one of the early innovators in the convergence of still and motion who has been applauded for capturing Hollywood moments with a style of authenticity, Greg Williams.
The British photographer has taken a snapshot of Daniel Craig’s Bond since the actor’s early days of the role, producing a series of behind-the-scenes books, shoots of moment, as well as the Daniel Craig film posters. Plus, with the shared common interest in photography and their love of the classical camera brand, the collaboration is explicitly a one-of-a-kind execution we’d be swept off our feet for.
For the first of its time, the identifiable alteration of the traditional red dot with Leica Lettering to a black dot with gold lettering is the quality of a special edition, indeed. It also includes a first: the name and sequential serial number which have been inscribed with a laser, under the glass cover of the camera display. Although the new camera model’s technicality functions in the same way as the iconic Leica Q2, but the gold shade painted onto the engravings and lens of the creation is what makes it visible to the eyes in awe.
