Porsche Thailand hosted a thrilling driving and dining experience for their VIP customers, featuring the Porsche Macan. As their exclusive media partner, Prestige Thailand follows them on their journey.
We start the day at the Porsche Centre Bangkok, checking-in at nine in the morning for a light breakfast from After You. As VIP clients begin to arrive one after another, we settle down at the showroom’s main foyer for an intimate welcome speech from Porsche Thailand, followed by the day’s debriefing.
The air buzzes with an upbeat anticipation for the day ahead. As part of the exclusive Macan Ayutthaya Road Trip, our group is set to embark on an exhilarating drive and dine adventure that’ll take us to Ayutthaya’s Ruen Jarung. Known for incredibly flavourful dishes, and being notoriously difficult to book — tables often have to be reserved a year in advance, and even then availability is partially dependent on the whims of the quirky restaurant owner — the experience promises to be a truly unique one.
After a group shot by the main sign, we rev our engines and drive out one by one; a striking parade of Porsche Macans. The entourage is truly a sight to behold, with Porsche swerving after Porsche, making a sleek and speedy beeline for Thailand’s renowned historic city.
When we arrive, the Porsche Thailand team is there waiting, welcoming the Macan fleet with billowing signs emblazoned with the brand’s logo. Nestled in a secluded space amidst the nature, Ruen Jarung’s tranquil ambiance offers a refreshing contrast from the thrilling drive it took to get there.
We’re warmly greeted by Loong Miew, the humorous yet big-hearted owner behind the family-run restaurant, who leads us to our table that takes up almost the entirety of the open space. Set in a Thai-style home that’s been around for around two centuries, the food is pretty spectacular.
As to be expected of Porsche, the day is truly befitting of the brand’s tasteful clientele — young, successful visionaries with a strong appreciation for adventure and one-of-a-kind experiences.
As we end our meal and bid our goodbyes — leaving with handfuls of traditional Khao Tom Mut — the day closes off on a positive note. We’re happy to have been able to hit the road with Porsche Thailand, and it was very much an unparalleled experience.
