On Friday February 8, the fourth floor Central Embassy buzzed with a sense of happening. Bright disco lights flashed while speakers blared fun beats right outside Motif’s flagship store, where society’s top members were gathered to celebrate Fendi Casa’s 30th anniversary.
One of Bangkok’s top luxury furniture retailers, Motif has maintained a reputation for importing premium, contemporary pieces of world-renowned brands from all across the globe. Led by Akarat Wannarat, Veegrit Wongwatanasin and Pannusa Boonsri, they offer a range of top-tier products related to the home, ranging from furniture to lighting and exquisite home accessories. While Motif has been Thailand’s exclusive distributor of brands such as Longhi, Tom Dixon Penta and Moooi, Fendi Casa is one of the most recent additions to the Motif family.
To celebrate the 30th anniversary, Motif held a special exhibition, showcasing three iconic products from Fendi Casa that go from past to present. The first, re-edited piece was the Cosima Dormouse (1994) — timelessly elegant, with soft forms and deep-buttoned leather upholstery. Next was the Eros Sofa (2004), iconic for its versatile design of minimal lines. The final piece was the One Sofa, where stylistic vigour meets contemporary composure, resulting in an iconic emblem that reflects Fendi Casa 2018.
A-list guests revelled in the bold yet sophisticated aesthetic of Fendi Casa through the pieces, before partying evening away to beats by ML Korkrita Kritakara. To keep spirits high, there was a special vending machine of mini champagne bottles from Moët & Chandon, where event attendees could indulge in free-flow bubbly.
