Award-winning Thai film The Maestro: Symphony of Terror is the product of a collaboration between Thai-American musical composer Somtow Sucharitkul and British director Paul Spurrier. The Thai indie film features the composer’s renowned youth orchestra, Siam Sinfonietta, plus numerous veteran Thai actors. Back in 2021, this film opened the Oldenburg International Film Festival, where it secured the Spirit of Cinema Award. Thereafter, the Thai movie attained seven more accolades from film festivals all around the globe.

SO/Bangkok is celebrating the month of love with something loved by all: cheese. On Friday, 4 February 2022, the hotel’s MIXO Bar is hosting a two-hour event where diners can expect over 30 types of cheeses, artisan bread, cold cuts, charcuterie, and free-flow wine. Guests can choose from three options for this event: unlimited cheese, unlimited cheese and wine, unlimited cheese and Sommelier recommended wine.

Bangkok Design Week is back. This year, the Bangkok Design Week 2022 runs for a little over a week, commencing this Saturday, 5 February 2022. As always, their mission is to push forward the city’s creative economy and support the creative potential. The festival provides a space for designers, entrepreneurs, and creatives to network and connect with each other. As for the theme? ‘Co with Creation’ is the concept behind this year’s Bangkok Design Week.

For Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra’s upcoming event, soloist Roeland Hendrix playing the clarinet will be accompanied by conductor Sander Teepen. The program for this event comprises of three musical pieces: ‘Leonore No.3 Overture, Op.72b’ by Ludwig van Beethoven, ‘Clarinet Concerto in A major, K.622’ by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart,’ and ‘Symphony No.8 in F major, Op.93’ by Ludwig van Beethoven.
