Let’s be honest — back to work or not, chances are many of us weren’t quite over the New Year’s state-of-mind last week. Now that it’s Monday again, it seems we’re finally able to set aside our post-vacation blues, and get excited about the fresh beginnings that lie ahead. To help ease your way back into your regular — or, for some of us, new — routines, we’ve rounded up some of the city’s most eye-catching events to attend this week. From an intimate, award-winning countertop pop-up at The St. Regis Hotel, to the comeback of Made by Legacy Flea Market and Circoloco, these are the happenings you definitely don’t want to miss this week.
WINE & DINE — If you’re looking to kickstart your year with extraordinary dining experiences, The St. Regis has extended their special, informal countertop pop-up, ‘The Peak’. Inspired by chef Andres Caminada — the acclaimed culinary owner behind three-Michelin-starred Schloss Schauenstein in Switzerland — expect a pretty incredible journey into the world of modern Swiss fare, courtesy of Andreas’ Head Chef, David Hartwig and pastry chef Arne Riehn. Dinners are limited to just 12 guests per eve, who are invited to enjoy six-courses over the counter — an intimate setting that encourages sharing and spontaneous conversations.
THB3,200++ per person. Until January 7, 2020. The St. Regis Bangkok Hotel. To reserve your seats or find out more, call 0 2207 7777, or email email@example.com.
ART & CULTURE — On the auspicious occasion of the birthday of HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra will be hosting a special performance called ‘Flowing Passions of Pride’. Conducted by Michel Tilkin, and featuring Helene Tysman on the piano, expect a truly beautiful repertoire that takes audiences from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet Suite, to Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor.
THB1,500, THB1,200, THB900, THB700, THB300. 8pm onwards, January 7, 2020. Thailand Cultural Centre. To find out more, visit the official Facebook event page.

NEWS & EVENTS — Made by Legacy is back! Once again taking over the old Sersuk Warehouse by the riverside, the 10th edition of our favourite flea market will be bringing together over 200 vendors, making this the largest sprawl yet. Expect everything vintage and antique, from vinyl records to designer brands and local crafts. Whether you’re on the hunt for jewellery, accessories, and clothing, or even home-ware and knick-knacks, Made by Legacy will most certainly have you covered.

NEWS & EVENTS — Another comeback we’re excited about, is the much-awaited return of Circoloco, which will be back at Phuket for two events at Baba Beach Club. Those who have attended before will know the lineup is one to look out for, and this year is no different, featuring the likes of Peggy Gou, Bedouin, William Djoko and more. Great music aside, Circoloco is also known for working closely with the local community, to create a collaborative space where both international and local music scenes can converge, contributing to the development of Thailand’s underground music scene.
