This week, we bring you closer to getting to know more about a young, promising 26-year-old hotelier of Kirimaya Khao Yai, Natcha “Chacha” Thanakitamnuay. To give you a little peek through her productive – but relaxing – everyday routine packed with self-development sessions along with quality time spending with her family, herself and her dog, too.
For the girl who’s got a lifestyle of a contemporary – wide-awake and always ready for a move – there’s no surprise that for Chacha, time isn’t destined to be spent in a way we’ll later on regret, but instead, it’s to be used for everything that’s giving us fulfilment and happiness.
7:30 Some people prefer a cup of coffee, first thing, to start their morning, but for me, it’s always a glass of water. Then, I go ahead and make myself a morning coffee. I also take my dog (Kaitoon the Corgi) for a first-round walk of the day after I’ve had breakfast.
8:30 Even though, it’s this semi-lockdown situation where we mostly need to stay in, but I still put on my makeup and do my hair as it gives me a sense of ‘now I’m done getting ready so it’s time to be productive’ kind of vibe.
9:30 -14:00 This is the time when I officially sit down, open my laptop and start typing away. I usually kick off my work mode by handling some minor tasks first like checking and answering emails etc. And then, meetings will start around 10 a.m. on a day-to-day basis.
Since I’ve never really worked full-time in the hotel industry before, consistently learning a new set of knowledge and skills within the areas of hotel operations has become a big must for me. With Covid, and how it’s making everything seem even more challenging and complicated especially for the industry my family’s business is in, I can’t just waste my time around but to go ahead, plan and resolve. Plus, coming from a working experience background of working under others to being on the top of the hierarchy, that transition requires me to work even harder – managing people-wise, as well as work-wise. But, whatever it is, or whatever it may be, I’m always up for it.
14:00 I usually have my meetings scheduled no later than 2 p.m. so we can all have the whole afternoon dedicated to actually concentrating on the tasks delegated – for us to also relax and chill out a little bit more too. During these hours, me and my dad also have our father-and-daughter, afternoon tea moment because he just loves drinking tea so much (laughs) and it also has to be served in one of those classic, Chinese tea sets (laughs again). But, I love it though.
16:30 I tend to exercise around this time, but now I only do light exercises instead of strenuous ones as I’ve just had my legs mildly injured…from surf skating (laughs). So, doing yoga and walking will have to do for now. Then, I take Kaitoon for a walk again, or sometimes for a swim, as our little evening routine.
19:00 This is when you would have seen me taking quick Instagram stories snapping a scene of a Korean drama on the TV, and probably with Kaitoon sitting adorably on the floor. It’s basically my me time of the day. I’m currently watching quite a few Korean dramas like Taxi Driver and Mouse and yes you’ve guessed it right, Vincenzo was also on my already-watched list, no doubt (laughs).
