ENLIGHTEN-ACTION FOR EPILEPSY, THE RITZ CARLTON; JANUARY 23
Enlighten-Action for Epilepsy held a gala dinner at The Ritz Carlton, Hong Kong’s Diamond Ballroom on January 23 to raise funds for the charity’s first fully dedicated drop-in area for those affected by epilepsy. The glamorous affair, themed “A Night at the Opera”, emulated the experience of being in a beautiful Parisian opera theatre. Enlighten’s Honorary Patron Anson Chan and Ambassador Karen Mok lined up alongside the Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Commission York Chow to conduct a fund-raising auction while the assembled guests enjoyed fine wine and dining.
Enlighten’s co-founder and CEO Claudia Schlesinger said, “Our goal for 2015 is to raise money to create a walk-in area where anyone affected by epilepsy – including their family, friends and supporters – is able to come and ask for assistance and support in a safe, secure, non-judgmental environment.”
