Three Outdoor Events To Catch This Weekend

While the rare, sweet spell of sweater weather seems to have passed, it’s still just a bearable 30 degrees outside. As temperatures haven’t yet hit unreasonable, Bangkok dwellers can rejoice (but be quick about it, we know such joys don’t last long). Since it’s still passably nice out, why not fit some outdoor happenings into your weekend plans. Here we’ve rounded up the best spots in the city to enjoy the last remnants of January weather.

Go for a picnic: ‘Pink Picnic’ by The Bar Upstairs

Bangkok’s chic wine bar The Bar Upstairs is throwing a pink-clad picnic bash this Saturday at Fraser Suites Sukhumvit Garden. Bring your buddies or a good book to join you as you lounge, eat and rosé the afternoon away. Food-wise, expect picnic basket goodies and delights ranging from burgers and oysters to sweet cotton candy. Once the sun sets, special DJs take the stage, along with live music performances to get you up on your feet and dancing. It is a pink-themed party, so don’t forget to ready your pink/white outfits to really join in on the fun. Adding a touch of do-good to your weekend, part of the proceeds will go to support the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer Foundation.

Or afternoon tea: ‘TWG Afternoon Tea Party’ at The House On Sathorn

Indulge in the their signature afternoon tea set in the refined outdoor garden, to a soundtrack of pop jazz performances from Alis’s Band. Join a Greek-style party brunch: ‘Big Fat Greek Sundays’ at Aesop’s
