There was once a time when Naphaporn “Lek” Bodiratnangkura was known for her appearances on Bangkok’s high-society party circuit, but those days are long over. Now, she is living up to her fabled family name by building on its century-old legacy. 

“I don’t have much to prove to people I don’t know, but I have a lot to prove in the arena of this business that I’m trying to build,” she says to Prestige in this month’s cover story. “I want to create something that is timeless and has substance, something that will last. It’s not about me. It’s about continuing the legacy of Nai Lert Park.”

She stands as the managing director of The Nai Lert Group, and was a vital player in the 10.8 billion Baht sale of its Swissôtel Nai Lert Park Hotel to Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS) late last year. She was also the driving force  –  along with her mother, Sanhapit Bodiratnangkura  –  behind her family’s decision to transform their century-old teakwood home into a museum for the public. 

This month, we step inside the famed 98 Wireless luxury condominium, which recently shattered all real estate records in Bangkok and understandably so. With its Beaux-Arts-inspired architecture in a coveted location and impeccable credentials inside out, it makes a gorgeous backdrop for this month’s cover shoot with Lek.
