40 Under 40: Narun “Em” Wiwattanakrai
While his mother and aunt were the founders of Let’s Relax back in 1998, it is their second generation heir, Narun “Em” Wiwattanakrai, who was instrumental to the company’s great expansion and elevated standards. Within their spa and wellness empire of Siam Wellness Group, you’ll find such well known establishments as Let’s Relax, BaanSuan Massage, Rarinjinda Wellness Spa, and Face Care. Their latest studio is Stretch Me, aimed at healing muscle fatigue and pains, which targets modern problems that the new generation encounter; be it office syndrome, traveling too much, and injuries from sports or from over-exercising. For Narun, his proudest achievement is in the brand’s aggressive growth, over a mere five years, from 12 branches to 70 branches within the end of 2019 – thus changing Let’s Relax from a niche name to a well-exposed one with greater brand awareness.
“We are the first Thai spa brand to enter the stock exchange in 2014, and with that, we hope to uplift Thai spas to international standards,” Narun points out. For him, determination and hard work are the foundations to any successful business, while expertise is also crucial. For Let’s Relax, a training school is also part of the company, thus ensuring a standardized service from all therapists. This guarantees that whether you are visiting Let’s Relax at tourist hubs in Thailand or in China, Cambodia, or Myanmar, everything will be of tip-top quality regardless of branch or masseuse.
