40 Under 40: Supornvadee “Am” Theppadungporn

As the third generation working for her family’s business, Ampolfood Group, Supornvadee “Am” Theppadungporn oversees the sales and marketing of their food products, which are sold in 65 countries around the world. With longstanding names such as Chao Koh coconut milk, and the recently launched ready-to-cook curry mix Roi Thai under their collective roster, Am hopes that Ampolfood can fly the flag for Thai products. “We want to be a representative of Thailand so people know that Thai products and food are of great quality,” says the long-experienced marketer, who worked in marketing for Kasikorn Bank before joining her family’s business. “We want Thai products to be well-accepted and far-reaching all around the world.” Alongside working for Ampolfood, she is also the founder of Tingle, a premium beauty salon chain that offers expert grooming for both eyelashes and eyebrows. It was from creating something of her own that she learned: “Never dismiss yourself or opportunities instantly, thinking it is not good enough or that you cannot do it without even trying. If you do, you will have not even had the possibility of becoming successful. With Tingle, I have gotten into something I am not adept with, but if I never got into it, I would never have what I have today.”
