Chutapatr “Plub” Laothamatas
Plub sold over a million records before he was 12 years old. Such early fame and success has led many people astray, but Plub went on to compete in math competitions as a student at Philips Exeter Academy, study economics and mathematics at Columbia University, and pursue an MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business. For six months he managed his family’s hotel, Away Kanchanaburi Dheva Mantra Resort and Spa, before leaving to work as a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group in Bangkok. He then became the founding general manager of BDMS Wellness Clinic, a job he got at 25. He currently heads the business development team at BrainKey, an American AI and neuroscience company that develops technology to help adults manage their neurological health and detect early onset of dementia. What excites Chutapatr most about his job is the chance to “introduce new products to an industry that is overdue for disruption”. In five years, he sees himself as a leader in his field, happily married, and having traveled to over 30 countries.
