Narun “Note” Thamavaranukup
The middle of three siblings, Narun “Note” Thamavaranukup has been immersed in the luxury industry since childhood. After obtaining both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Science from Oxford University, Note was an investment banker in Hong Kong for three years before returning home to oversee Prima Time (PMT), the luxury watch import and retail business arm of Blue River, his parents’ jewellery business. In 2008 he formed PMT The Hour Glass, a partnership with The Hour Glass from Singapore, which expanded this arm of the family business tenfold. Recent investments have also seen the group add duty-free retail stores, as well as the luxury food and beverage brand Ladurée Paris, to its growing portfolio.
This recipient of Science degrees from the prestigious Oxford University is also blessed with business acumen. He is responsible for the significant growth and expansion of his family’s luxury watch import and retail business under the name PMT The Hour Glass, a joint venture with Asia’s leading watch specialist retailer. Recent investments have seen the Group add new duty-free retail stores as well as the luxury food and beverage brand Ladurée Paris to its growing portfolio.
