Rarin Tumwattana

Co-founder, Guss Damn Good

Rarin doesn’t consider herself successful yet. But she is happy with her job, something she especially loves. And when it comes to the question of the next five years, she sees herself still making ice cream at Guss Damn Good, which she co-founded with Natee Charussuriyong, and creating more products and “more fun, of course!” Her spirit is undoubtedly reflected in the ice cream flavours she designs and christens. There’s a lot of fun flavours, like Naughty Honey (longan flower honey with candied honey comb) and Love is Love (mascarpone, lemon curd, and beetroot crumb). It wasn’t all breezy and fun at the beginning, however. After all, Guss Damn Good’s first flavor is called Don’t Give Up #18 because they finally got it right on the 18th try. And the first time they tested their product at a market in Bangkok, nobody bought their ice cream. So Rarin knows a few things or two about perseverance and resilience. Most recently, she created This Too Shall Pass (honey and yuzu lemon) as a little pick-me-up for the pandemic time. To keep herself motivated, the entrepreneur surrounds herself with good people and “good stories, good food, good cake, good taste.”
