Sutima “Junko” Sucharitakul
A Master’s in Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London ignited the start of Sutima’s illustrious art career. With a second Master’s in Art History — specialising in Southeast Asia — from the School of Oriental and African Studies, she cultivated an interest in antiquity and Buddhist art, greatly aided by her upbringing in Thailand. After spending over a decade abroad, Sutima decided to move back to Thailand in 2014, and two years later she established Nova Contemporary in Bangkok. Applying her diverse experience, expertise, and discoveries abroad to her new position as a gallery founder, she has since led Nova Contemporary to host an exciting mix of art exhibitions showcasing both Thai and international artists.
