Dyson has just welcomed a new member to its family of cordless vacuum cleaners — the V8 Slim.
True to its name, the entire cord-free machine weighs in at barely 2.15 kg, making it Dyson’s lightest vacuum cleaner to date. Despite the sleek packaging, Dyson definitely hasn’t skimped on functionality, and this snazzy new entry retains the same high performance as its predecessors — if not better. Tailoring to the needs of homeowners, the Dyson V8 Slim vacuum cleaner comes with a new, soft roller cleaner that’s especially engineered to get into tight spaces and capture fine dust particles, while the machine itself is powered by Dyson’s digital motor V8 technology for powerful suction — cue two Tier Radial cyclones that ensure the highest filtration efficiency. Smaller, lighter, and all-round better, here are a few key reasons you need this in your home.
The Roller Cleaner Head
Designed, according to Dyson, to be 40% smaller and lighter than previous versions, the V8 slim comes with a soft roller cleaner head that’s been made using a special aircraft-grade 6061 aluminium. What this means, essentially, is that the roller head’s brush bar’s diameter could be reduced by around 29%, resulting in thinner, stronger walls. Another thing to take note of is how the cleaner head has been restructured for a more direct airflow path — with an improved edge and cleaning performances, it’s very likely your Dyson V8 slim won’t leave any dust behind, even with just one pass. What could be better?
2 Tier RadialTM Cyclones & Whole-machine filtration
Aesthetics and lightness aside, there’s a whole lot of technical aspects that make the Dyson V8 Slim one to eye. For one thing, you’ve got the cyclones. Back in the day, Dyson invented the world’s first ever bagless vacuum cleaner, that used cyclones to separate the dirt from the airflow — a pretty revolutionary approach that the brand has since been continuing to develop for the past 25 years. These cyclones make an appearance in the V8 Slim, generating enough force to pretty much fling your fine dust particles into the bin.
Once this dust has been separated and flung, the bin then offers four rubber seals to ensure this collected dust stays there. Smaller dust particles move through a pre-motor filter, and finally, you see 99.97% of the particles — as small as 0.3 microns, mind you — captured in the post-motor filter, including allergens, pollen and mould spores. Your air is left cleaner, and those with allergies can definitely rest assured.
The digital motor V8
Spinning at 107,000rpm, the Dyson digital motor V8, generates enough power to pick up anything from large debris to fine dust from the floor. The machine is powered by fade-free lithium-ion batteries, delivering a consistent high power for roughly 30-40 minutes on medium mode, and 7 minutes on boost mode.
The Dyson V8 Slim is now available for THB14,900 at Dyson Demo Stores at Siam Paragon, Iconsiam, and Central Ladprao. To find out more, visit dyson.co.th.
