Each characterised by its own bold persona, and featuring undeniable elements of the Flexform aesthetic, we round up our favourite pieces in the collection.
If you’re looking for sophisticated comfort.
Designed totally sans sharp corners, the Asolo sofa offers a cluster of soft pieces — think huge, fluffy cushions filled with blown polyester fiber, and goose down for an eveloping softness that feels almost like you’re sitting on clouds. The design features an elegant pleat, revealing impeccable craftsmanship, and is available in two widths. Resting on a streamlined metal base that comes in a silver grey painted finish, Asolo is made to be versatile, seamlessly fitting into any space, and bringing with it a sense of elegance that truly brings your home together.
If you’re looking for a subtle statement piece.
Light, dynamic, and so sleek, the Pico dining and coffee tables come with a visual lightness that manages to be striking and subtle at the same time. With tapered legs — available, of course, in a number of stylish finishes — and a top devoid of sharp edges, it’s the perfect statement piece to elevate your home. Design-wise, these pieces are also delightfully versatile, offering an impressive degree of personalisation through structure combinations and top finishes. Pick from an array of marble tops, or opt for the wood veneered options, with Canaletto walnut or ash in a variety of finishes.
If you’re looking for a touch of tradition.
Full of fascinating details and stories, the Tessa armchair offers far more than meets the eye. Made entirely out of solid ash, or turned Canaletto walnut, the design places emphasis on the natural texture and feel of the wood. Even the woven paper rush cord found on the seat and backrest has been finely handcrafted, using an ancient art that dates all the way back to Italian rural tradition, for a result that is delicate but strong. You can also opt to have soft cushions attached using slender straps for an even more comforting experience. If you’re looking for a whole set, the Tessa family also includes an armchair ottoman, bench, and a marble-top coffee table.
If you’re looking for simplicity and sleek lines.
It’s easy for any modern home-owner to fall for the Gregory bed’s charms. Drawing from the aesthetic appeal of the existing Gregory sofa, this new bed design is all about flawless proportions, sophisticated construction details, and elegant finishes. Resting on a metal frame and cast aluminium feet, the bed comes with cowhide strips available in subtly juxtaposing tobacco, dark brown, or black. The headboard is generously padded for optimum comfort, and comes with entirely removable upholstery, which can be tailored in fabric or leather.
If you’re looking for a chair with a personality.
Definite eye-catchers, the Joyce armchairs and chairs are characterised by their unique metal structure. Enveloped with contours crafted using metal and molded polyurethane, the soft lines that make up the design’s silhouette strikes a pretty nice balance between design and classicism. The metal bases in both designs come in two elegant finishes — burnished, or powder-coat white. Both also have completely removable upholstery, with an impressive array of options that encompasses both leathers and fabrics in the Flexform collection.
If you’re looking for minimalism at its finest.
The brainchild of Christophe Pillet, the idea behind the First Steps set can be easily understood in a quote: “I am not on a quest for the extraordinary, but rather for that which is beautiful and able to kindle emotion in the ordinary.” On this front, the First Steps chair really hits home — so beautifully simple, this could pretty much be the archetypal object-chair. With a sinuous structure that rises elegantly to form a metal backrest, the First Steps chair and stool come with a painted white or burnished finish. The highlight of the design, however, is definitely the tightly woven seat material, entirely hand made using either paper cord, or paper rush cord. Tasteful and undeniable versatile, both can discreetly fit into any space.
