Kick-starting the year, boating enthusiasts already have something pretty big to look forward to, as we get ready to welcome one of Europe’s most exciting boat shows — Boots International, in Düsseldorf Germany, set to take place from January 18 – 26, 2020. Among, if not the largest, indoor boat shows to take place in the world, Boots International is a definite must on your schedule if you’re looking to compare a wide range of options in the scene and get a feel of the very best.
With anything and everything from kayaks to luxury super-yachts, the week-long event will also see the unveiling of some highly-anticipated new releases. Among the names taking part this year is, of course, Azimut Yachts. After two decades of being crowned world’s top superyacht builder, Azimut Yacht is ready to impress yet again this 2020, with a showcase of six yachts that total 120 metres in length. Among them are the S Collection flagship Grande S10 — at 29 metres in length, this is the largest yacht the brand has ever taken with them to Boot. It will be joined by a new version of the S6, the Flybridge Collection’s Azimut 78 and 72, the Atlantis 45, and the Magellano 53. Here are the models we’re most excited about.
The Azimut Grande S10
Of course we’ve got our sights set on is the Azimut Grande S10. Created in collaboration with designers Alberto Mancini and Francesco Guida, this particular yacht taps into the idea of a sophisticated modern villa located in the middle of the sea. With design styles that make referential nods to supercar design, the megasailer is elegant, stunning, and comes with spectacularly unbeatable ocean views. It’s already made a pretty big splash at last September’s boat shows on the French and Italian rivieras, and with its groundbreaking tech — not to mention a highly awe-inducing exterior — we won’t be surprised if it steals the show once again this year.
The S6 Sportfly
A new release of the highly-popular and successful S6 — which was featured as part of the iconic Times Square installation last spring — this model maintains much of the collection’s DNA. In other words, it’s sleek and sporty. What’s new are the enhancements, coming in the form of a spacious and comfortable extended lounge area on the pilot house roof. Those on-board can also have easy access to the flydeck and second helm station through a retractable stairway.
The 72 Flybridge
Azimut Yachts will be presenting the 72 Flybridge with a whole new interior design, especially created to emphasise the brand’s stylistic hallmarks — cue flowing lines and distinctive features. Surfaces are all about contrasts, with wood that’s been brushed and textured, adorned with mahogany details. To really appreciate this inner revamp, simply look up — the ceilings come with a technical lighting project that serves both aesthetic and practical functions.
Boots International will take place from 10am-6pm daily, January 18 – 26, 2020. To find out more about the show, visit boat-duesseldorf.com. To find out more about Azimut Yachts, visit azimutyachts.com.
